Eurostar Directions

On November 14th, 2007 a newly renovated station in London called St. Pancras will become home to the Eurostar Chunnel Train.

Getting to St Pancras
Making your way to and from St Pancras will be very easy. St Pancras is accessible by the Tube, London's public subway system, through the Victoria, Circle, Metropolitan, Picaddily, and Northern lines.

from Heathrow Airport:
If you're flying into London via Heathrow airport, and want to make your way to St Pancras, you can simply take The Piccadilly line on the Tube, London's public subway system. Departures from the terminal are frequent, and it will bring you to St Pancras Station in just under an hour. You could just as easily catch a cab, though the cost is considerably higher and the arrival time will be similar.

from Gatwick Airport:
If you're arriving at London Gatwick airport and want to make your way to St Pancras station to catch the Eurostar, National Rail operates a train directly from Gatwick to St Pancras in just under one hour. Tickets can be purchased in the Arrival's Hall at Gatwick airport. Taking a taxi cab is of course another quick but more expensive alternative.

Getting to Gare du Nord
Getting to and from Gare du Nord, the station in Paris where you arrive and depart on the Eurostar, is also very simple. The station is located in the 10th district ("arrondissement") of Paris. Situated close by are Sacre Coeur (the "Sacred Heart" church) and the neighborhood of Montmarte.

From Charles De Gaulle Airport: most people take the RER line B (see below), which makes a direct stop at Nord station. You could also take a taxi, but this is of course more costly than the RER.

By RER: the station connects to the B, D and E lines on the RER (which is a sort of a regional commuter express rail in Paris). Line B serves Charles de Gaulle airport, so this a popular way to get to and from the airport and downtown Paris (about 30 minutes to Nord station). Line D assures a quick passage between Nord and Lyon stations. Both lines serve Stade de France in Saint-Denis, as well.

By Metro: the station is accessible by Paris Metro Lines 4 and 5, and is just one stop away from Gare de l'Est.
